L3 award in emergency first aid at work

Course Description:
Prepares learners to assess an incident, recognise the signs and symptoms of injury and illness and assist a casualty in a safe and effective manner in  work place context.

Course Content:
Learner will complete the following mandatory units:

• Emergency first aid in the workplace

The course will involve role play practical scenarios where learners will get the opportunity to deal with the type of sports related injuries they will deal with in real life sports contexts.

Who is this course for?
The qualification is designed for individuals wishing to obtain a regulated qualification in first aid at work and be relied upon to perform emergency first aid in a work environment. It is suitable for any employer who needs to meet their regulatory requirements for emergency first aid in the workplace.

Is this course compulsory/a prerequisite for another course?
Yes. The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work.

Entry Requirements:
Learners must be a minimum of 16 years old at registration and 16 years old at certification and be able to undertake the qualification in English.

Progression Routes:

Successful candidates can progress on to the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work.

Delivery details:
Delivered over one weekday or one weekend day or two evenings (attendance at both is required from 5-9pm).
