Course Description:
The qualification qualifies learners to deliver teaching/training or support teaching/training in the education and training sector.

Course Content:
Learners will complete mandatory and optional units from the following:

• Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
• Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
• Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
• Facilitate learning and development in groups
• Understanding assessment in education and training
• Facilitate learning and development for individuals.

Who is this course for?
The qualification is designed for those aspiring to teach or new to teaching in the further education and skills sector.

Entry Requirements:
Learners must be a minimum of 19 years old at registration and 19 years old at certification and be able to undertake the qualification in English.

Progression Routes:
Once in a teaching role, candidates may choose to follow a programme of training for the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training depending on the role and associated teaching responsibilities.
