Course Description:
The qualification qualifies learners to work as gym-based fitness instructors.

Course Content:
Learners will complete the following mandatory units:

• Anatomy and physiology for exercise
• Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
• Principles of exercise, fitness and health
• Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
• Planning gym-based exercise
• Instructing gym-based exercise

Who is this course for?
The qualification is for individuals who wish to become gym-based fitness instructors.

Is this course compulsory/a prerequisite for another course?
Yes. The 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.

Entry Requirements:
Learners must be a minimum of 16 years old at registration and 16 years old at certification and be able to undertake the qualification in English.

Delivery details:
Delivered over 5 days within an 8-week period on a Saturday. Candidates will be expected to do a significant amount of individual study through online materials that will be provided upon registration.
